Thanks for stopping by to visit our blog. I'm an Army wife and started a blog before a PCS (permanent change of station/move) from Washington state to Washington DC in 2011 as a way for my family and friends to keep up with the 30 day trip across the country. Over the last few years I have only posted sporadically, much to the disappointment of all of my loyal readers........ aka, my mother. However, with our upcoming move overseas fast approaching, I have decided to rededicate myself to blogging as a way for my family and friends to stay connected to us and share in our journey.
I am not a writer (I don't even play one on TV), but I do like to tell stories, and I can talk for a really long time(just ask Jeff). So if you can forgive some run on sentences, and the occasional slaughtering of proper grammar and punctuation, I think you will enjoy this blog. I am also hoping to post some pretty cool pictures of our upcoming Asian adventures, thanks to the nifty little camera I received as a Christmas/Birthday/Sorry I'm Moving You to Korea present from the hubby.
When I originally set up this blog I was completely clueless, and it showed. The blog was basic, it wasn't easy to navigate, and Jeff really hated the name, Fairy Tales. Over the past few weeks I have been learning to make things in Photoshop Elements, playing around on the design page of Blogger, and trying to come up with a new name for the blog. I always loved our blog description (the ups, downs, and all arounds) because I felt like it really captured what the last 12 years of our life has been. When I think about it, 5 moves, 2 coasts, 3 deployments, and countless family milestones and trials, has been a lot like a roller coaster. The best part of the roller coaster for me is always those loopdeeloops; they are thrilling, terrifying, unpredictable, and exciting all at the same time. So it felt only natural that our new blog name would be "Loopdeeloops". After getting the thumbs up from Jeff (thank goodness I picked something he liked), I bought the domain name and the new blog was born.
I will continue to learn and practice with photoshop and web design and hopefully one day have the blog looking exactly the way I envision. For now, I am happy with this little work in progress and hope you enjoy reading.
